We are looking for an experienced, hardworking Concrete Carpenter to join our construction team. In this role, you will focus on formwork â building the temporary form systems that shape concrete as it hardens. After the concrete is poured and sets, you will smooth and finish the surfaces. You must have experience using hand and power tools to assist in the construction of concrete floors, sidewalks, curbs, and other structures. You should also be comfortable using measuring instruments to check that your concrete forms follow the blueprints or job specifications. All new hires must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test.

Tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardwarestructures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
- Estimate costs and materials
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
